Cattistock Fruit and Produce Show
Thank you to all who entered their amazing produce, from Cattistock and Chilfrome! The standard of the fruit, vegetables, flower arrangements and cooked entries was excellent. Thank you also to the judges, Eric Cox, Mary Duff and Sue Orr for donating their time and expertise.
The overall winners were Tess& Patrick Nelson, who won 9 classes. They were awarded with a Champion’s Cup and a bottle of champagne. Maggie Lavan was awarded a small bottle of champagne for her amazing harvest loaf (including a wee mouse woven into the stalks of the wheat). Abigail Hampshire won the childrens’ section and won a £10 gift voucher.
Thanks also to Richard Edwards for being a fantastic auctioneer, consequently, £130 was raised that will be presented to the Dorchester Food Bank, alongside a box of non-perishable produce donated.
This was the first show after a period of absence so we are confident that, just like the produce, it will grow year after year!
